Card surcharges are banned. Is your bank still charging you too much to take cards?

Since 1 October 2026 you can’t add a surcharge for Visa, Mastercard, eftpos or Amex, so every cent of card fees now comes out of your takings. On the same date the RBA lowered the caps on interchange, the wholesale fee behind every card payment. For domestic consumer credit cards the cap is now 0.30%. Did your bank pass on the cut?

Your statement never leaves your device; we store nothing. You type in the totals; the check runs in your browser. (Version 1 uses typed-in totals; there’s no PDF upload yet.)
